Doing Business in China

Best Practices and how to Market Products through Online and Offline Sales Channels

China is entering a new age: from an export oriented market the country is transforming itself to one of the biggest consumer markets in the world. Western companies are eager to sell their products in China, but many companies face various challenges when doing business in China. Furthermore, in the past years e-commerce and social media have exploded in China. Many Western companies are not aware of these recent trends and too often forget to develop an online marketing strategy when launching their products in China. During this lecture, Bart Horsten will give practical insights on how to deal with cultural differences, how to avoid the typical pitfalls and how Western companies can benefit from e-commerce and social media in China, illustrated with real life case studies.
