The Hutong School was founded in 2005 in order to provide Western students, graduates and young professionals internships and Chinese language courses in Beijing and Shanghai. Our Chinese School also provides Chinese courses in China to people who are already in China. We offer a range of Chinese training services tailored to anyone who wants to learn Chinese in China. To offer you an authentic experience of China our Chinese classes are held in beautiful schools in Beijing and Shanghai. We further aim to fully immerse our students in Chinese culture by organizing 3-4 cultural activities per week.
Hutong School's unique teaching method which separates spoken Chinese and character recognition, has been proven to expedite Chinese language learning. While progressing quicker in spoken Chinese, students also lay better foundations for character memorisation by understanding the logic of Chinese characters' construction.
