Daily Tasks

- Following up on ongoing partnerships
o Acting as the main contact point for correspondence with current partners, coordinating partners’ requests and providing regular feedback
o Designing an appropriate corporate CSR plan for the partner (which may include branding and communication work, staff volunteer activities, commercial services, etc.) and implementing related promotion and activities accordingly
o Working with the Communication manager to provide adequate communication material
o Actively participating in sponsorship renewal and negotiations; preparing related documents and proposals

- Leading the search for new financial partners
o Researching possible financial sponsors (corporate and institutional foundations, multinational companies, organizations, in China and abroad)
o Understanding potential donors’ motivation and requirements, designing appropriate partnership proposals accordingly, ensuring follow-up
o Representing the organization and introducing partnership opportunities at meetings and events

- Developing and organizing commercial services for companies and groups
o Promoting commercial activities for companies and groups: social teambuilding bakery classes for companies, bread and pastry catering, consulting services, etc.
o Following up on each relationship, monitoring feedback and ensuring execution of service together with the team

- Monitoring and developing hotel partnerships
o Managing relationships with current hotel partners who provide practical internships to the students
o Leading the search for new partners: visiting the hotels and reviewing their bakery/pastry departments with the organization’s trainers, presenting the cooperation terms, following up to arrange signature

- Supporting the launch of an active “social bakery” network
o Researching and writing report on current charity bakery trainings / social bakeries in Asia and around the world
o Contacting with NGOs that could benefit from bakery trainings for their beneficiaries and/or sharing bakery technical expertise and best practices


Requirements

- Dedication to work in a growing international non-proft organization, interest in social issues and learning more about NGO operations in a Chinese environment
- Keen to gain experience in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and corporate communication across various types of companies
- Fluent in English
- Knowledge of Chinese and/or French would be an advantage
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to listen and present
- Good organization skills, responsive
- Enjoying working both within a team and independently
- Ability/skills in leading and managing volunteers would be appreciated


Additional Information

- You will report to experienced French project managers with good understanding of Chinese practices and NGOs/social enterprises in China
- You will work closely with volunteers from different nationalities and backgrounds
- Flexibility in working either from home or at the Shanghai office with the permanent staff
- Transportation and phone allowance provided
- As you will be working in an NGO, there is no fixed salary. End-of-assignment financial compensation may be granted based on candidate’s success in raising funds

This NGO provides a fully-sponsored training in traditional French bakery to underprivileged Chinese youth aged 17 to 21, enabling them to find qualified jobs and lead independent lives after graduation.
