Research & Analysis
Research and analysis of project information e.g. market research, supplier research, company research
Desk research on various business areas related to the firm’s focus industries. These include, but are not limited to, mining and resources sector as well as the industrial and engineering sector
Conduct market and sector research on the firm’s target industries including key stakeholders, trends, regulation in order to identify targets for business development initiatives
Produce documents, briefing papers, reports and presentations as required
Support with sales target research
Identify and develop cross-selling opportunities
Work with BD Manager to develop proposals and manage the proposal process
Actively maintain a Client Relationship Management (CRM) database
Manage all other comprehensive ad-hoc duties as assigned
Assist with the firm’s social media (e.g. LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter etc.)
Identify, select and manage relevant events by funneling event information to the relevant offices/regions
Attend events on behalf of the firm as required
Assist with reception of delegations to China and assist with visits to local companies
Work with the Head of Projects to conduct on-site visit for the company’s commodity trading business
Assist in trip planning i.e. organize trip itinerary for local visits
Attend meetings with visiting companies that are engaging with Chinese partners
Attention to detail and fast-learner.
Able to work under pressure.
Sound analytical and problem solving skills.
Ability to work in teams with colleagues from diverse cultures and backgrounds.
Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
Willingness to learn especially in terms of related industries i.e. mining, construction, power etc.
Work experience in either a start-up company, management or consulting industry, or a sales-oriented company is preferred but not required
Strong customer relationship management ability and/or business development ability.
