Daily Tasks

You will work alongside the Assistant Front Office Manager (Italian) and will be responsible for all activities relevant to the Front Desk such as the reception, check in / out, rooming of all hotel guests, foreign exchange and assisting them with inquiries. This will involve conducting the following tasks:
- Greeting all guests at all times in a friendly and helpful manner and attempting to learn and use guest’s name at every opportunity
- Registering and rooming all arrivals according to established procedures
- Maintaining intimate knowledge of departmental standards and procedures
- Performing check in, check out and room change procedures and ensuring all data are entered completely into the hotel systems in accordance with reservation
- Maintaining cashier float and ensuring accurate daily report of all money received
- Cashing hotel guest’s personal and travelers checks and assisting with currency exchange
- Keeping abreast of all modifications to accounting policies and procedures
- Attending to guest’s request of using the service of safety box at all times
- Knowing about all special promotion procedures for programs
- Attending to guest’s complaints, inquiries and requests, referees problems to supervisor/Assistant Manager if he/she is unable to assist
- Familiar with other hotels and resorts of the same group
- Making sure guests depart the hotel with a positive impressions of hotel service
- Performing the audit balances and preparing all works for audit in an orderly fashion
- When on night shift, checking night report, preparing the morning report and preparing all necessary forms for guest arrival
- Maintaining comprehensive knowledge of standard reservation procedures (forms, telex, emails, messages, etc)
- Maintaining exemplary department standards of behavior and appearance and attitude
- Taking personal interest and pride to ensure that the front desk work area is kept clean and in an orderly state at all times
- Maintain the high standards of the hotel with particular regard to the importance of the Brand’s Loyalty Program member and other VIP’s and with reference to hotel and to be a health or safety hazard
