 I ended up doing an internship in Beijing totally randomly. I didn't know a thing about China, or the working conditions there, or even how to say Hi in Chinese.  The Hutong School offered exactly the services I was looking for (...) It was a 1000%-fit. I am now working for a Euro-Asian Consulting firm and traveling between Germany and Shanghai.

 Hutong School cared for me from my arrival in Beijing on until my departure back to Germany. I was fetched at the airport, brought to my nice apartment and the police station for registration, was shown around the area of my apartment (e.g. the supermarkets), was brought to the office of my internship-firm on the first day, had really high-class Chinese language courses, took part on great parties and excursions organized by Hutong School, did a high-class internship and so on and so on...

 Hutong School did not only heavily influence my personality, but also my professional future. Hutong School was really perfect for me. I learned to love China and do highly recommend the Hutong School. I had the greatest 4 months of my life in Beijing.

Intensive Chinese program

 I decided to quit my job and take a 3 months crash course. A decision I do not regret. Hutong School is honestly always there to support you with daily things and to help you out...

 Learning Chinese is a whole different experience, since you have to cross a cultural border; not only to understand the language and it’s structure, but also to cope with the Chinese written and edited books. Classes are relaxed (unless you join your group a week late and have to catch up) and the apartments are comfortable.

China Internship Program

In my last year of college university, I was given the opportunity to do an internship in China. Since I’ve always been fascinated by China and its culture, I grabbed this chance with both hands. Besides, I always wanted to have some working experience in a foreign country, preferably somewhere in Asia. So it was just perfect.

But then many questions popped up… Would I be able to find an internship or a place to stay? How would life be there? Would I manage on my own? What if something happens?

Although I had some doubts, they all faded away from the moment I arrived in Shanghai and I have Hutong School to thank for that. By attending cultural activities, you get to know many people who are in the same situation as you are. So you don’t feel alone anymore. Hutong School is like my second home. They made me feel at ease and helped me with everything.

Choosing Hutong School was a fantastic decision and I’ll definitely be back!
