Why Volunteering in China?
Every fifth person in the world is Chinese. And as China is a prospective leading economic power with an interesting and constantly growing internal market for international concerns, Beijing's population grows by half a million inhabitants every year. This corresponds to a growth of a medium metropolis. Every year unemployment and poverty increases, as well as pollution.
Volunteering in China will help you to gain a really important life experience! Beijing is a wondrous city where ancient culture mingles with the vibrant life of a modern metropolis. Nowhere else in the world can two such stark contrasts be found. Furthermore Volunteering will give you the possibilty to do something different from school/job/university. You will be able to improve your social skills as well as learning new skills and an important language while helping your environment. Thereby you will surely impress your future employees!
Why pay for Volunteering? What am I paying for?
- Hutong School works full time to build partnerships and recruit, support, and manage volunteers. The fee paid by Volunteers covers a number of services and means that no costs are passed onto the local NGOs themselves.
- Many international volunteers have never travelled overseas. Hutong School provides them with a wide range of support.
- In addition you pay for the accomodation and Chinese classes.
And please do not forget: NGOs are non-profit organizations; therefore they put all their efforts on their projects.
